About this deal

I appreciated both but was NOT expecting Thanos and Wanda to be soooooooooooooo intimate :P I would thought there would be a bazillion memes around this. Yeah, you can lose arms and legs, there are spinning floor blades and pit traps, lootable containers on the board. Each turn, a player chooses between acquiring new goods from the market by using "tokens representing money", or selling goods in exchange for tokens. There are a limited amount of tokens available for each type of card, with the more valuable cards having a smaller pool of tokens available.

Plus, what happens when you have two copies of three different goods in your hand (the hand limit is seven), and there are two copies of the goods you need in front of you? The goods themselves also cover a range of values – gems are most valuable, while hides are least valuable. In short, camels allow seasoned gamers to really sink their teeth into this game, and provide a great leveller for players of all different experience levels. If a player chooses to sell more goods than there are remaining tokens for that good, they will still qualify for a bonus token based on the number of cards sold. You may take any single goods card from the card row and add it to your hand, or take all the camels in the row and add them to your herd. So is finding out the extra diamond you’ve been waiting for has been in your foe’s hand since the beginning of the game. And, obviously, the most common situation that requires two-player games is playing games with your spouse. The push your luck aspect comes with players deciding whether to sell early or wait for a bigger sale. However, the more valuable cards also happen to be rarer, with many markets often being filled with brown cards and only one or two cards of actual value.

Despite its soft appearance and simple rules, it’s also a smart, tight game that rewards clever planning and agile moment-to-moment thinking. However, you also score bonus tokens if you can collect a set of three, four, or five of the same good, and sell them off in one turn.

On the other hand, you receive increasingly high rewards for selling three, four, or five cards of the same good at a time, so you'd better wait! ON the other hand, when you draw one card or take camels, the market is refilled from the deck, which could hand your opponent first dibs on the best cards. Mercifully, camel cards don’t count against your hand limit, so you can build them up separately and keep them for useful shenanigans in the future, which we’ll explain in a moment. Brendan: I think my favourite thing about Jaipur is how people’s personality tends to affect how they play.Quinns: Yes, and then you learn how to earn them from Jaipur’s manual of fantastic clarity, and then you instantly want to start playing. The game of Jaipur centres around a “market” deck, with cards depicting leather, silk, spices, silver, gold, rubies and camels. On your turn, you can either pick up cards (which represent the goods you’ll sell) from a face-up selection in the middle of the table that’s shared between both players, or you can sell cards from your hand to exchange them for points. There are a few nuances to this, such as the fact that each stack of tokens that represent each type of goods has a decreasing value, meaning that the player who makes the first trade for a particular good will likely make more than the second player to sell the same good, even if that player sells more.
