It *just* feels to me like if this story were true, there'd be more interest because the claims in it are so extraordinary. Publishers Weekly gave the 2020 book Forgiving What You Can't Forget: Discover How to Move On, Make Peace with Painful Memories, and Create a Life That’s Beautiful Again a positive review, noting, "TerKeurst’s fans will love this stirring, realistic look at confronting the arduous aspects of forgiveness". Although warned by the seller that the house was said to have been the site of some "disturbances" that had driven away former tenants, the house is perfect for Roddy and Pamela Fitzgerald.

Featuring first-rate acting by a cast of pros, impressive direction by Lewis Allen in his first feature-length film, a theme song that would go on to become a classic, remarkable (for its time) special FX, and stunning, noirish and Oscar-nominated cinematography by the great Charles Lang, the picture is a very solid entertainment, indeed, if perhaps a tad tame for today's horror buffs. However, I was in more of a mood to just ‘read’ and because of that I didn’t work through this slowly or truly absorb the content. Her writing style doesn't captivate me and to be honest, her experience of being rejected didn't compare to the depths of what many of us experience.Lysa lets the reader look into her own insecurities to teach the reader lessons when we feel rejected.

Brother and sister Roderick and Pamela Fitzgerald flee their busy London lives for the beautiful but stormy Devon coastline. I'm not even mad thinking this is a fictional story, because as I said, it's a creepy horror story and "based on a true story" was all the rage back in the 1970s (Texas Chain Saw, Amityville).The Uninvited" does not quite delve into those areas, preferring to embrace the idea of an afterlife as a foregone conclusion. I have only one problem with the book, and that is, that the narrative is very disjointed in parts and the sentence structure is not very good but the content goes a long way to compensating for this.

She included a quote that referenced the story of Joseph and the famine in the Bible - and the quote implied that there was abundance in all the world before this (not true - there were at least a couple famines before Joseph - Genesis 26:1), and then blamed all the scarcity in the land on Pharaoh, which isn't an accurate representation of what happened at all. There is a friendship to her writing that is winsome and that I found myself drawn to and I am sure many others have been drawn in the same way. Change your tendency to either fall apart or control the actions of others by embracing God-honoring ways to process your hurt.I have read Lysa TerKeurst’s book “The Best Yes” which I enjoyed and I really like the style of Lysa’s writing. What starts off as a seemingly small compromise can easily become a complete contradiction to the people we long to be. Live from the abundant pace that you are loved, and you won't find yourself begging others for scraps of love" is one of the author's quotes that I feel sums up the point of the book.
