About this deal
The only problem I had was trying to get the maintenance screen up once the HDD had been replaced – it took about 3-4 attempts before the box finally responded and after that it was plain sailing from then on in.
It's so much slicker and smoother, the change is refreshing, because it makes day-to-day use better. The main issue that some have had is attempting to use tools that recognise EXT files but can't handle XFS formatted partitions. This can be done over the mobile network, so while you are away from home you can still browse the TV schedules on the train and set recordings on your box at home without being there in person. Am I safe in trying the new drive or will I render it useless if the box was somehow bricked by the update?
One other thing to note, my HDD was held in place by not only the screws but also a very sticky foam pad.
My own out of contract with BT DTR T-2110 Box has continued to fully function with my new Standard Broadband 12mbs ADSL provider Now TV.
