About this deal

The "Wedding Planner meets Bed of Roses" storyline is also alluring and captivating enough to make you root for the entire execution! He acted like a knight in shining armor, intervening at the right time to save Ama's day and her career. An enjoyable read revolving around Ama who, despite being a wedding planner doesn't want to commit in a relationship.

my ONE critique is that this book is just so fast that you don't get to dive **too** deep into the characters, so if that's your thing, it may not hit as hard as you're hoping.

Maybe it's because I wanted to be an event/wedding planner when I was younger and this just hit that spot for me haha.

From the get go the reader is pulled into Ama's world, the character voice and description is so clear. They never had the same views on the marriages and thats what led to their downfall and it broke my heart to see Elliot crying because he just wanted something more from Ama and she couldn't give it to him. And I get some people had their own fears related to marriage and I completely understand that about her but she always knew what Elliot wanted from her and I liked how she was clear about her insecurities and intentions towards marriage with him. If someone has this on kindle and can look up how many times it says donuts for me I would 🫶🏻 you forever haha. I also understood Elliot's hesitation to Ama, but absolutely adore his continued commitment of love to her even though she rejected him in the past.

The relationship wasn't developed at all—they like to bone and good for them but why do they actually like each other?

Ama (not short for Amateur—thank you very much, Elliot) Torres is a wedding planner that doesn’t do commitment and sees weddings as just a party. She's the best at what she does and has an easy-going personality that warms her way into her clients' hearts. We also use them to help detect unauthorized access or activity that violate our terms of service, as well as to analyze site traffic and performance for our own site improvement efforts. Or that he got a tattoo of amaryllis that's the name of girl and is a flower specie on his chest like right near his heart. I'm not complaining about that, but when Ama and Elliot started working together, and after Ama realized and told him that she still loved him—he felt conflicted at first and left—but the next day, they got back together for a new beginning!I thought Ama and Elliot had great chemistry in the flashback scenes, it was a bit harder to see in the present day ones.

i dont want to delve more into details about this book because it was a plaisant surprise to dive into it only knowing that it was a sort of romcom with a wedding planner trying to work closely with her florist, ex-boyfriend. He is a florist who is the the biggest and the sweetest grump ever with his tattoos (i mean look at the cover) and brooding personality but he also had a soft and caring side. As the wedding day approaches, we go back and forth with a dual POV to find out what really happened between Elliott and Ama - and if they can work together one last time. Since beginning she knew that Elliot was a guy who believes in commitments yet she kept playing him around treating him in whatever way she liked and then dumped him when he proposed. I can't really comment on the emotional attachment because the relationship started purely physical with cute moments, and in the flashbacks, it eventually grew into a lot more. The story is about Ama Torres, who became a wedding planner because she planned many of her mom’s sixteen weddings. I loved her, so much, and was so happy to see her take charge and stand up for herself to a certain someone, and also admit her faults to Elliot. I just expected something completely different going into this book but it’s a good contemporary book with a romance subplot.
