About this deal

I've also encountered a lot of people who roleplay, but can't seem to differentiate between the character and the person behind the character. One of my last RP group in another game was consistently receiving indignant private messages about "why was he so mean" because his character had a very abrasive personality. They simply assumed that because the character was horrible, that the person playing him was horrible too, which couldn't have been further from the truth. Now, CAN it be cringeworthy? It really depends on each person's tastes and on the characters, in my opinion. I for one am not a fan of "out of the universe" roleplaying (I don't know if that's the term in English, but it is when they add elements that have nothing to do with the lore of the game to their characters or their stories, or even ignore the game's setting completely) and I find super edgy characters to be really cringeworthy. Many players see E3 as a magical time of year where their next favourite games are unveiled – sometimes even without a firm confirmation of their release dates. During these shows, presenters are willing to do just about anything to make their product stand out as the innovative and new must-have title. Promotions in the past have seen celebrities, stand-up comedians, and even real-life cars brought in to spice up the programs. But, because of the pressure of announcing new games to a wide audience, sometimes things go wrong in the presentations. Worse still, the presenters completely fail their delivery. This. I've roleplayed in other games where people have godlike characters. One I saw was a vampire / werewolf hybrid, of Van Helsing style with a modified crossbow that was the D&D version of an assault rifle ( the character had apparently modified the crossbow to fire at least eight bolts in one release or some such nonsense ) and couldn't ever die unless a certain specific set of conditions were met that were just out of this world, almost literally.

That said, I've always found playing the role of my character to be a lot of fun. I've seen many, many people say it's weird, stupid, or that roleplayers are people who need psychological help. What I've never understood is that most of those people probably enjoy seeing a movie, or a play, and those actors are doing the very thing these people profess to be weird - playing a role. Yes, Game of Thrones jokes! If you're like any other Game of Thrones fan, you probably spend a lot of time waiting: waiting for the new season to start, waiting for the next episode to air, waiting for the next book to come out... UGH. Safe to say, you probably have a lot of time on your hands. Try waiting for your amazing new fan gear! Otherwise, don't worry! The Internet is here to help you kill that time with these cringeworthy Game of Thrones puns, jokes, and one-liners. Because if there's anything better than a good joke, it's a bad/cringeworthy one! These are the type of jokes that make dads giddy with delight and everyone else roll their eyes.

The gameplay is simple. The person who creates the most awkward situation wins!

No David Cage sexcapade is complete without mentioning Beyond: Two Souls. While not nearly as graphic as the other two games (no one gets fully naked here), the premise behind the scene is is just as cringeworthy, as you're essentially a disembodied voyeur during the whole thing. Sure, they do it real time, and get paid astronomical amounts of money to assume a role, but it's basically the same thing, simply the vehicle is different.
