About this deal

The name Fujica may sound peculiar to some but earlier FUJIFILM cameras were marketed with the Fujica brandname. And since the arrival of Fujifilm X100 ten years ago, Fuji has been creating rangefinder style cameras (which still remind me that Ronson Variflame lighter) as the ones they had been producing in the Sixties. Specifically designed for content creators and family photographers the GX880 features an LCD display that tilts 180º to face the camera user. It features a new Night Mode Selfie, Wide 4K selfie and a portrait mode in which you can soften skin and slim your subjects faces. How does the Night Mode Selfie feature work? Overall, the GX800 is a great little offering from Panasonic. It comes at the same time as the full specifications for the GH5 have been announced - completely at the other end of the scale in terms of intended consumers, so it’s pleasing to see the company giving attention to a wide spectrum of intended users.

It's not like most phones (outside of LG's) really go that wide either, they're usually around 24-30mm EFL, used to lean towards 30mm more but they've been going wider and wider. Pana has the 14/2.5 pancake too, not to mention the PL15/1.7 and Oly's 17/1.7 & 12/2. Plenty of first party choices in the 24-40mm EFL range, even Sigma's 20/2.8 makes for a decent budget option. The Scene Guide* offers 21 sample pictures shot by professional photographers. Users can choose the one closest to their shooting situation and optimum parameters for shooting the scene will be automatically set. The shooting procedure, technical advice and recommended interchangeable lens for the scene can also be shown to users. The 3.0-inch 1040K-dot static type touch control monitor boasts a 180-degree tiltable structure. When the monitor is flipped up, the camera automatically activates Self Shot mode. In conventional selfie pictures, users have to stretch their arms to hold the camera, however, the hands-free selfie capability of the GX880 allows users to use their hands as they like, resulting in freer, more expressive posing. Face Shutter and Buddy Shutter functions can also be used to trigger the shutter release when a face is covered for a moment with a waving hand or when two faces come close together in a frame. Use a card with SD Speed Class with "UHS-I Speed Class 3 (U3)" when recording motion pictures with [MP4] in [4K] or [4K PHOTO]. Above: You can extract as many images as you like during Post Focus, so here’s one from the same capture, except this time I’ve tapped on the most distant part of the image.

Panasonic Lumix GX880, GF10, GF90 White-balance test images

The Panasonic Lumix GX880 (also known as the Lumix DC-GF10 in Asia) is a new entry-level mirrorless camera. The 16.0-megapixel Digital Live MOS Sensor without low-pass filter and Venus Engine combine to achieve crisp, high-resolution images in fine detail with high-contrast, impressive colour reproduction and max. ISO 25600 high sensitivity. The Contrast AF System features DFD (Depth From Defocus) technology and excels in both speed and accuracy by exchanging digital signals between the camera and the lens at a max. 240 fps*1, resulting in ultra-fast auto focusing of approx. 0.07 sec*2.

Ahead of our full review, here are some full-size sample JPEG and Raw images taken with the new Panasonic Lumix DC-GX880 entry-level mirrorless camera.Yes, reading forums etc you seem unfortunately to be correct in estimating Panasonic decisions. IBIS and higher mp sensor are both technically possible as even smaller cameras from Sony etc demonstrate this. But still a pity given the range of cost effective and good lenses available for m43 cameras. bry - no - I am not deluded. Unlike those who "talk" I actually get out on the streets at night and get photographs and even exhibit. The built-in Wi-Fi connectivity lets you remotely control the camera using the Panasonic Image App on a smartphone or tablet, and is available for iOS and Android devices. There are a large number of options and settings that can be accessed and changed, making the app extremely useful, there are also time-lapse options, and you can view and share images, as well as tag photos with GPS information. More than 15 images (when there are RAW files with the particular speed)/More than 100 images (when there are no RAW files)/(Depending on memory card type, aspect, picture size and compression) Above: Here’s the coverage of the Lumix G 12-32mm kit zoom in practice which delivers an equivalent range of 24-64mm. This is slightly wider than most kit zooms that typically start around 28mm equivalent, but doesn’t quite zoom as long at the ‘telephoto’ end. To be fair, the range is roughly similar to the 24-70mm equivalent range of many premium compacts and of course the major benefit the GX800 / GX850 has over those models is the opportunity to swap lenses – I’ll mention that in just a moment.

The problems with the original film rangefinders were the parallax error and the inability to focus to anything closer to 50cm. The modern EVF can allow the cameras to zoom much closer! You can see through the lens as if you were shooting a DSLR! Modern functions with retro looks. Bring it on Nikon! The ZR (for Z Retro) Image quality is great in a variety of different situations - just stay away from the very top end of the ISO settings if you can help it. The kit lens is a good lens to get you started, but the flexibility to buy others if you want to is something you don’t get with premium compact cameras, and is appealing for those who think they might get a bit more serious down the line. The rating for image quality is based on using the Panasonic GX800 with the kit lens - you can get even more from the camera’s excellent sensor if you invest in additional, higher quality optics. The Panasonic Lumix DC-GX800 has an extensive range of creative Filters with 22 different options on offer. It was ISO 12800. But I could have gotten more rid of noise if Dxo just supported this camera, but it doesn't yet. Silky Pix is surprisingly good nowadays too.Recording stops when the continuous recording time exceeds 5 minutes with [MP4] in [4K] and [4K PHOTO].
