Eyeballs suggest we did not create nearly enough against an opposition we should be beating comfortably. We managed to pin them in their own half a few times during the match, but never had the control of the match. Not good enough. Need to start with intensity. This Forrest side looks so poor but as we saw last season like 100 times, all we need to do is give them just that little bit of confidence and they'll threaten our goal. No poor passing. No stalling on the ball. Villa fans pretty much agreeing we deserved to win, defended with discipline and looked dangerous on the break. Wanted it more and showed more intensity. Plus our fans were very loud. And in return Villa looked lethargic and didn't turn up etc.

Felt like at 2-0 in complete control, would’ve been a good time to send a message to City and the other rivals that we mean business again this season. Might be a bit entitled tho, idk.I have always accepted that no Empire has been formed without a certain level of violence and even atrocity. Similarly no empire was inherently pure evil. Historically speaking there have always been countries who have been ‘conquered’ who have benefitted from being part of an empire. I don’t think any of that can really be disputed.

All this money has been spent to not score goals ffs. We played like a world class team in the first 30 minutes against Palace, made everyone sit up and take notice. Today was a grind from the first whistle. Yes we dominated the ball but created very little. We just seem to have this weird formulae that stops teams most weeks from punishing us and being unable to stop us producing at least one devastating moment that gets us a goal - in the championship you can get onboard with that feeling because you talk yourself into believing the quality is a bit of a joke and volatile, but to see it work so effectively in such a high quality division is surreal. He expected Forest to park the bus, which they did. This was the anti-bus lineup that he planned day 1 when he acquired Havertz and started shifting Partey to RB. Worked ok for 1st half, but not spectacular. As it stands though we are out with a very bad deal and a relationship with the EU that is adversarial at best and downright broken at worst. Both sides need each other. Now possibly more than ever but that will not happen with this Government. Again, credit to Forest for making things though and digging in. Then taking their chance when it presented itself.Now that the transfer window is shut, nd yes maybe with some delay, but better late then never, it looks that the missing pieces of the jig saw are now in place.
