About this deal

The Feedback Sports Sprint and Topeak Prepstand X both use an axle/bottom bracket mounting system and comparing them to the others in the test is like comparing apples to oranges.

It's one of the most expensive models in our test selection, but it's also safe to say that the Topeak PrepStand Pro is the fanciest model we tested, with included features like a built-in digital scale and carrying/storage bag. We knocked them around and put them through their paces, tossing them in the back of the truck and testing hard-wrenching efforts on each one. The seatpost is rated to hold the weight of a rider, which will just-about always outweigh the bike. Add the incredibly light weight and the small folded down size and you get the most portable and easy to use repair stand around!Other than the plastic components, the only other area where the Bike Hand loses out to its competitors is its height. Oscar prefers lightweight road and gravel frames with simple tube shapes, rather than the latest trend for aerodynamics and full integration. Unless you’ve been living under a rock, you’ll know that there’s no denying that eBikes are on the rise. also doesn’t use quick-release in its folding arrangement, instead relying on hex bolts, so it can take longer to set up.

The only truly good DIY stands we've used have been made from metal, still feature aftermarket bike-specific clamp heads and generally cost more than the pre-made version – but we’re all for ingenuity, so share any photos of your homemade repair stands below. In bikes where the top tube is completely round, you may need more clamping force which could be risky. And as a 2nd side note, I use the Feedback FLOP STOP (Handlebar Holder) and imho it's the best I've seen/used. What may happen over time, is that a gap between the two sets of teeth develops, as a result of consistent torque from the weight of the clamped bike. It’s also got one of the biggest height ranges of any repair stand I know of, at 48 - 72" (122 - 183 cm), so you’ll be able to get your bike exactly in position no matter how tall you are.

All of the clamp style stands we tested have clamp jaws that range between 2 3/4" to 3 5/8" in length. Every work stand in our test selection is portable and collapses down significantly for storage or transport. There’s an eBike for everyone so we want to make sure there’s an electric bike rack for everyone as well! That’s personal opinion of course but I volunteer at my local Active Travel Hub and take my Feedback with me as they have Bike Hand’s.All testers agreed that we'd be more inclined to do routine maintenance on a work stand if we owned this one.
