Now this is the part where I expect to add quite often that ‘considering its price’. As I said before, there will be some head-scratching moments, might be even a deal-breaker for some. Others would say that these are only smaller issues that are easy to live with, or not issues at all. We are all different, and that’s fine. I am trying not to repeat myself, but if you consider how much a traditional 8-man tent costs, yet alone an 8-men inflatable tent, it is easier to make those compromises with the Airgo Air Genus 800.
Lastly, insects will easily find their way in, so it is essential to get a decent bug zapper, insect repellent lamp or other means of keeping the bugs out. The downside to buying online is that you can’t actually get hold of the product to try it out first. I'd love to see a porch that could be used with the tent, but as an interim measure I'll be buying some awning poles. Ideal for family camping trips, this inflatable tent can be pitched in 15-minutes giving you more time to enjoy the outdoors.
The ‘T’ refers to the thread count (T), which is the number of threads used horizontally and vertically per square inch of fabric … 210T means a total of 210 threads. A higher thread count represents a greater density and tighter weave in the fabric. For this reason you will often find lower Denier fabrics (with a ‘thinner’ thread) have a higher thread count. Not in this case, 185T is a very low thread number. There’s so much information available online when we’re shopping now, that it’s easy to find lots of detail about products like Eurohike Genus 800 Air Tent. This is of course really helpful, but there’s almost too much information available, so it’s important to know exactly what you’re looking for. I'm a big fan of inflatable tents after having borrowed a Berghaus Air 8 last year. I bought this Airgo for a last minute camping trip Easter 2019. Great price, available for collection locally, and good spec. Price – as you’d expect the price of a product can be an instantly recognisable factor on what sort of quality you can expect. Whoever came up with the phrase “you get what you pay for” pretty much hit the nail on the head. Whilst it’s not always the case and there are many bargains to be had, you can as a general rule, expect the higher priced products to offer better quality than a the cheapest option. We’ll dive into the price of Eurohike Genus 800 Air Tent in more detail in a moment.
About Millets
That got us thinking though, that we’re looking at every possible item from Eurohike so it would be good to narrow our search down even further and only look at Eurohike branded products within the Inflatable Tents category. The cost of Eurohike Inflatable Tents The Airgo Air Genus 800 is probably the most popular inflatable tent (air tent) right now, along with its smaller sibling the Air Genus 400. The Air Genus 800 is an 8 person inflatable tent, that has very promising features (ie. Weather resilience, set-up speed, weight) and comes at a very affordable price. However, there are a few things that should be considered before you invest in the Air Genus 800. The material the product is made from is often a sign of the quality for Inflatable Tents. Take a look at the product details over at Go Outdoors to get a feel for this. I should also add, that there’s very little information on the fabric and flysheet used by the Eurohike Genus 800. While Airgo openly admitted the low-end fabrics they used to keep the Air Genus 800 cheap, I can only assume that the Eurohike Genus 800 is not much of an improvement in this regard. I must admit, that it is a different, more practical but nonetheless valid approach. I am sure some of you will appreciate this practicality, and would not mind spending their time outside the tent anyways.
There are however some methods that you can use to determine a product’s quality without needing to physically have it. An easily-pitched inflatable tent for up to eight, ideal for comfy weekends away with family or friends. Easy to pitch with inflatable air beams I must admit, there is not much that could compete with the value for THIS price. The Eurohike Air 600 costs around the same price ( review here), but it has a different layout. I can work for 6 (or less people), so if you have never intended to use the Air Genus 800 as an 8-berth tent, than the Eurohike Air 600 may be an alternative. Thirdly, don’t expect to be able to keep your dog inside, they will easily find their way out as soon as they smell the BBQ from the tent next door. That’s why we’ve pulled together this list of key factors for Eurohike Genus 800 Air Tent below, to help you choose if it’s the right product for you and your budget. The tent doesn't come with a separate ground sheet - I'll definitely buy one before our next trip as the floor material is very thin. Finally, as the air beams are a little flimsy, they move around despite being pegged. This means that the tension on the rest of the tent varies - making it difficult at times to open and close the door zips. Try too hard, and the thin walling is liable to tear.
