No thought given to any continuity at all, tracks all available readily on other, better compilations. Oh my Lordy Lord, there's my childhood right there, spread out across 4 CDs, from the sublime to the utterly ludicrous. I think Teenbeat must have been the equivalent in the states though this looks a little more hard edge, lol. Jackie was a weekly UK magazine geared toward teenage girls that ran from the early 60's up through the early 90's. This triple disc set contains tracks from many of the bands that graced the covers and pages of Jackie in it's heyday.

So odd that for one set of similarly named comps they would just omit some tracks while on another set they would omit some tracks and add some other tracks to the 2-CD version. There is a particularly harrowing piece of programming on Disc One with Billy Don't Be a Hero followed by Seasons in the Sun, only the brave can endure without a lump in the throat and something unexpecetedly aggravating the tear ducts. I will also re-post Volume 2 as the quality I posted is less than satisfactory so It will reappear in better sound quality.I guess like the two bumpers sets I posted recently, they are so different and really played to the market taste in that country. Oddly, there were two versions of Love Songs and The Party Album, versions from 2010 that have 3 CDs and later versions which only have 2 CDs.
