About this deal
i enabled music equalizer in Dolby Access app along with Dolby Atmos spacial audio, and am currently testing music. so far the EPOS with Dolby Access set to MUSIC: WARM EQ PRESET, they’ve handled Sia, Alice in Chains, and some Eminem, and everything has been fairly enjoyable In its standard flat response, the bass offers good punch, but you really need to give it a major boost if you want it to respond the way most games intend. For most of my time testing the H6Pro, I had the EQ boosted the most in the lows, adding a subtle reduction in the midbass for a smoother transition. With this adage of gain, the bass delivers a more prominent sub-bass, adding texture and rumble to many different sound design elements of games. Playing some Modern Warfare 2, I found the bass really came into its own on the H6Pro. Shotguns, grenades, and many other hard effects will give you that meaty impact you’re looking for, as long as you set your EQ in the right place. Mids
Epos is out with a brand new flagship gaming headset, and it's pretty nifty.
The H6Pro is wired only, so you may wish to consider the brilliant RIG 800 Pro HX or the Epos H3Pro Hybrid if you want to go wireless. Being able to hear and be heard are the two of the most important features of any headset. And while none of Epos’s headsets have landed on our Best Gaming Headset list, they’re known to excel in this regard. That’s certainly the case with the company’s solidly built H6Pro, a wired headset that’s only hindered by an uncomfortable fit. Epos H6Pro – Design and Features Comfortable: The headset has the perfect amount of padding on the top band and the ear cups fit fantastic. It is nice and adjustable for a variety of head sizes. The cups do not hurt after long hours of use.
Two distinct variants of the H6Pro mean that you can buy the one that suits your preferences. And both sport the exact same price tag. To be fair, this isn’t a huge problem as most wired mics don’t have these chat mixer features. And considering that most people tend to hang out in party chat, regardless of their preferred console, I doubt anyone will really notice. That said, Microsoft gets the edge when it comes to fine tuning chat when playing with random gamers online. C'est pour moi une grosse amélioration. and in terms of sound quality, the SONYs are superior, especially in the low end realm, but this is fair since --

These highs are very well maintained. They have a natural surface that executes a blissful and engaging tone. Its response doesn’t require brightness to express a lively timbre, so you won’t have to worry about harsh frequency content. Overall, the highs are inoffensive and should offer plenty of height and air. Summary
low end: needs EQ, but, with the EQ they really do sound pretty good.. there's no distortion that's for sure. not muddy. pretty clear. i don't know what to say. it's not in your face, but it's there. Overall, besides the differences with each variant that’ll come down to personal preference, there’s very little to complain about when it comes to the H6Pro’s sound design. It’s simply one of the best in this department at its mid-range price point. These headphones are amazing, probably even better than I originally thought. The no distortion at max volume thing is putting these actually ahead of the *ahem* other headphones I mention below. Comfort level is INSANE. I wear these all night and forget I'm not listening to my home theater. And I've got Emotiva T1+'s driving my front soundstage, so that's saying something.all in all, they PASS the music test. they're about 90-95% of my Sony's in total sound quality, for a good 65% of the price.
