The exploration droid's angular design and proportions certainly correspond with the video game, although bipedal models often demand limited articulation. I've seen smaller builds get away with more properly scaled feet, but that's the advantage of reducing the size/mass. In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) effective on May 25, 2018, we are providing greater transparency, and we are enabling new privacy controls so you can choose how The Brothers Brick handles your personal information. As for the model, just wish there was more articulation, and they'd managed to somehow include the scomp link in the build.
Also, providing a Cal Kestis minifigure to accompany BD-1 would have been nice, but I hope that will be forthcoming with sets based upon Jedi: Survivor during 2023. Bricklink tells me it first came out last year, but has only been in three other sets which explains why I haven't seen it before now. Clear Perspex® assembled with screws and metal connector cubes, allowing you to easily secure the case together. If you're not careful a small gap can appear as seen above, but it's easy to push the two sections back into position as seen in the bottom half of the photo. The colourful logic display on the back of BD-1's head is another recognisable feature, making appropriate use of 1x1 round tiles. Larger items, primarily outdoor or ride-on products are shipped directly from Hamleys partners and may take longer to arrive.
An information sign and a Star Wars BD-1 LEGO figure that can be attached next to the sign is also included to complete a charming centrepiece. The combination of colourful panels and complex details looks tremendous and I am impressed with the proportions of this design, particularly because BD-1's head is rather large, while his legs are narrower. The intricacy of this component is impressive and I like the hollow stud on BD's back, which is bound to prove useful. The build begins unsurprisingly with a number of Technic pieces constructing the droid’s center mass and neck area. The head tilt seems more important than rotation to convey personality, so I'm glad they went with that.To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Unfortunately, the knees and ankles are static and I was disappointed to find that the head cannot rotate, which would have been great for display.
