About this deal

S. mit zweisprachiger Einleitung (italiana/english) und 29 Tafeln mit S/W-Abbildungen der Fotografien Illustr. Peculiar encounters, curious radio transmissions, and unexplained coincidences became the norms of my childhood. In 1970 his work was shown at the Australian Centre for Photography and was welcomed by curator Jennie Boddington at the National Gallery of Victoria. The Eye Mama book is a photographic portfolio showcasing the mama narrative and the mama gaze, what female and non-binary photographers see when they look at, and into the home.

His art gained more prominence during the 1990s, thanks to his collaboration with the publisher Taschen.Rejecting the traditional beauty in his famous nude photographs, Saudek shows the distinctively old women, fat women, children; real people in tableaux vivants that remind us of everything from surreal early movies to fin-de-siecle carnival nights. Beautifully illustrated album, with full-page color photographs preceded by 29 pages of introduction. The Need to Know, a photo book, is my exploration of the meager details that emerged from brief and cryptic conversations with my father and my curiosity about Cold War espionage and its impact upon my family at the time.

This richly illustrated volume is the first critical look at the early career of Arthur Tress, a key proponent of magical realism and staged photography. Jan Saudek and his twin brother Karel (also known as Kája) were born to a Slavic (Czech) mother and Jewish father in Prague in 1935.A poor condition book can still make a good reading copy but is generally not collectible unless the item is very scarce. Edited by Mark Davidson and Parker Fishel, BOB DYLAN: MIXING UP THE MEDICINE focuses a close look at the full scope of Dylan’s working life, particularly from the dynamic perspective of his ongoing and shifting creative processes—his earliest home recordings in the mid-1950s right up through Rough and Rowdy Ways (2020), his most recent studio recording, and into the present day. From the late 1970s, he became recognized in the West as the leading Czech photographer, and also developed a following among photographers in his own country.

However, the terrible attitude when I very politely asked for a contribution towards fixing the faulty gopro remote was staggering. Family members were often the unwitting participants in indecipherable events that left us with many more questions than answers. This abundantly illustrated volume imparts a fuller understanding of Tress’s career and the New York photographic scene of the 1960s and 1970s.Nearly all the materials preserved at The Bob Dylan Center are unique, previously unavailable, and, in many cases, even previously unknown. Based on the Eye Mama Project, a photography platform sharing a curated feed by photographers worldwide who identify as mamas, the Eye Mama book brings together more than 150 images to render what is so often invisible―caregiving, mothering, family and the post-motherhood self― visible.

a.: "Asylum, Photographs by Raymond Depardon", Text von Lauren Shkely; "Photo-Booth Strips, Photographs by Carol Taback", Text von Marta Chahroudi; "David Hockneys Photographs", Text von Christopher Knight; "Cubism and American Photography" von John Pultz; "Story from Czechoslovakia, my Country" von Jan Saudek". During his life in communist Czechoslovakia, Jan was labeled by the totalitarian regime as a pornographer.

Covering his debut in the 1950s through his lesser-known work to recent images, this dazzling collection offers us the true ""velvet revolution,"" fertile and unsettling images from the dreams we might still have. First Printing, complete with bibliography and checklist to the exhibition from whence comes this fine catalogue. The visual movement centres around the “mama gaze”, an introspective look at home and care by female and non-binary visual artists.
