About this deal

If the Honor 90 Lite’s performance is merely adequate, then its stamina is generally excellent. I found that I was able to go through a day of moderate usage, with around four hours of screen-on time, and would still have a good 60% left in the tank. You’re looking at potentially two days of normal usage in between charges. Given that it runs on a relatively small 4,500mAh battery, that’s quite the turn up for the books, and it points to some effective battery optimisation on the part of Honor. Where that smaller cell gets found out somewhat is in more intensive media tasks. In our usual looping video test, the Honor 90 Lite lasted 16hrs 18mins, which falls well short of the Moto G73 5G and any number of Poco and Redmi phones running on more efficient Snapdragon chips and larger 5,000mAh cells. Honor's put a lot of focus on the Honor 90's display. Not only is it quite large at 6.7 inches, it also offers a 120Hz refresh rate and an alleged 1,600-nit peak HDR brightness. Unusually, though in line with Honor's other phones, the Honor 90 has a resolution of 2664 x 1200 pixels — that’s higher-res than the FHD panels on the Pixel 7a or Galaxy A54, but not quite as detailed as the QHD panels you'll see on flagship phones. Voice enhancement algorithm supports a variety of popular video apps, please consult HONOR CustomerIf you love streaming and watching, casual gaming and taking photos, the Honor 90 Lite is a mighty option at its price. The real headline act is its 256GB storage, but the supporting cast – the camera, performance, user experience and battery life – all hold the show together with gusto. may vary due to different factors such as network environment, usage scenarios and personal usage habits. The Pixel 7a only reaches 41% in 30 minutes with its 18W charging. It does offer wireless charging though, which is something you don't get on the Honor 90. Honor 90 review: Software Speaking of gaming, the Honor 90 handles itself very well in this regard. Diving into a few online matches in both Mario Kart Tour and Call of Duty Mobile, I encountered zero slowdowns, and the Honor 90 didn’t run hot during my playtime. Couple that with the screen’s vibrancy, which in Mario Kart Tour really makes the levels pop, and the Honor 90 is an easy one to recommend for gamers on the go. Battery As great as the Honor 90 looks head-on, I can’t say that I’m a huge fan of its rear design. I don’t know why Honor thinks that two large unseemly circles make for a stylish set of camera modules, but to my eyes, it just looks like a strange use of the available space. Even the oblong module on the Honor Magic Vs felt more coherent than this.

When it comes to portrait mode and the phone’s natural bokeh set by the 2MP depth camera, the results depend on the subject at hand. The Honor 90 Lite’s piddly 5MP ultrawide isn’t a strong performer either, offering a washed-out approximation of the main sensor’s palette, with noticeably poor detail as you move out towards the edges of the frame. It also struggles with overexposure, blowing out highlights on a moderately sunny day. The final sensor in this nominal trio is a 2MP macro camera. Making a camera that’s supposed to highlight close-up detail with such a low resolution is rather counter-intuitive. Sure enough, this sensor struggles with detail, contrast and exposure, and as such is a total waste of time. The phone’s bezels are largely non-existent – which isn’t a given on mid-range smartphones – and a ‘punch-hole’ front camera cut-out (rather than an obstructive notch) at the top of its screen keeps things feeling fluid. The 2MP macro camera should be avoided – crop into a shot taken on the main camera and you can likely get better results, so while the Honor 90 Lite is technically a quad-camera phone, there’s only one good camera here. depending on configurations, manufacturing processes, and measuring methods. Please refer to the actualAt 6.7 inches, this is a big phone for the price, too. The Pixel 7a is a petite 6.1 inches, while the Galaxy A54 is a slightly larger 6.4 inches. The Honor 90's a strong deal if you want a lot of screen real estate for the price. I’ve spent the last few weeks using the Honor 90 as my main handset, and that time has thrown quite a few surprises my way, as well as a few let-downs. The question is, does the Honor 90 do just enough to stand out against its competitors? Here’s my verdict. Design and screen The 16MP front camera is a strong performer, taking flattering photos with a modest yet welcome level of beautification. Whichever camera you’re using, though, video caps out at 1080p (30fps) – not 4K, and its picture and digital stabilization is only ever fine. Performance and battery: Value champ
