The book rhymes throughout and is very simple with the illustrations lending well to the funny words and I just love how fun and simple the book’s ending was which I had predicted but was fun to see happen to the kitten. With each different thing his anger builds and what he wants to do becomes more and more extreme including squashing the moon!This is an enlightening meditation on the nature of anger by an experienced psychiatrist, a rough guide. He's very perceptive about how to use anger properly so that it doesn't destroy us or restrict our enjoyment of life. The closest thing I can imagine are exposes written about real-life events, the book equivalent of a documentary. People who have this need feel that angry feelings or a show of anger may be evidence of loss of control. Stalked by shadows and sickness, hunted by forces who will not suffer a witch to vote-and perhaps not even to live-the sisters will need to delve into the oldest magics, draw new alliances, and heal the bond between them if they want to survive.

At the end of the story there are notes for parents and teachers with suggestions of ways to help children deal with anger. Rubin's premise is that most people have a problem with what anger is really all about and also that people will adamantly deny that they are angry. However, this book has a lot of good ideas, is easy reading, and Rubin comes up with a few gems that you might not think of. I want to close this chapter by saying that blocking anger makes us even greater "don't-make-wavers" and emotional isolationists, thus completing a very destructive vicious cycle. But understanding and releasing anger can lead to greater health, happiness, and emotional wholeness.He sees this kind of caring as leading to involvement, emotional snares, and all kinds of people traps.
