Night Train to Marrakech by Dinah Jefferies | Waterstones

I have read only one other book by Dinah Jefferies, also via the Pigeonhole platform, and I rated The Tea Planter's Wife at 5 stars. Each train station has coffee shops and restaurants within the terminal. Prices are reasonable but slightly higher than the norm in Morocco. How Much Does the Night Train Cost?

The seductive colours, sights, sounds and aromas of Marrakech, with a hidden, darker side, are so powerfully evoked that you are instantly transported there’ LIZ TRENOW Completely swept me away to another place and time. Dinah is the queen of sumptuous settings, transporting the reader effortlessly from chocolate-box Devonshire to the cabaret clubs of 1920s Paris and war-torn Malta. A marvellous, multi-layered story, populated with characters to really care for' HAZEL GAYNOR From Marrakech, the train heads up along the coast north to Rabat before making a right and heading east towards Fes. You’ll pass through large cities, small towns, and rural countryside. The author has obviously done a lot of research about this setting and this made the book all the more interesting as it was a period and place I knew little about Who would have thought that a night train to Marrakech could lead to such an exhilarating story? Long-held family secrets are uncovered, strained family bonds become united, and new and old love stories have a chance to flourish. This is a story of courage and the strength of women who never give up, regardless of their life circumstances. I don't want to give away too many details, so I won't provide any spoilers here.

Night train Tangier-Marrakesh (ONCF) | railcc Night train Tangier-Marrakesh (ONCF) | railcc

This was a novel full of intrigue danger and excitement set against political and historical turmoil amidst a lush, exotic panorama of Moroccan life. On the night train from Marrakech to Tangier, travelers can sleep in a bed and arrive ready to start the day. The train is more expensive, and the sleeper train more expensive still, but some of the cost is offset by not having to pay for a night in a hostel or hotel. Ultimately, the train is the most practical option for travelers with time constraints. Where to Take the Train? Definitely a novel to be recommended along with its predecessors, Daughters of War and The Hidden Place. As for a night train from Marrakech to Fes. While it would be amazing! Sadly, an overnight train to Fes does not exist. About the Train Ride from Marrakech to Fes In questa atmosfera di grande tensione seguiamo la storia di Clemence Petier, una settantenne che vive alle pendici dell’Atlante, in una Kasbah isolata in compagnia della madre Madeleine affetta da demenza senile e due fidati servitori. It's an epic journey that'll take her to the edge of Atlas Mountains - and closer to the answers she's been craving all her life.
