About this deal

We're history buffs, we travel through the UK a lot and while we're on the road it's always interesting to us what we're passing. Each archaeological period is identified using different symbols and colours to show sites from the Stone Age through to the early Middle Ages against a modern map base, double-sided to cover the whole country. We like to know what's around us as we travel, and this map is a great incentive for taking the lesser-travelled roads. Additional information, such as a list of archaeological terms, suggested reading and museums to visit, is also included. This map gives not only a sense of place but also a sense of context, showing what else might be of interest in the area.

You can be completely assured that nothing we pass to Sage Pay’s servers can be examined, used or modified by any third parties attempting to gain access to sensitive information. Map, mounted on cloth, is in very good condition; also bound in is a 36pp Foreword, Introduction and COmbined Index to North and South Sheets which is tanned with some spotting; card cover rather tanned with some marks and shelfwear. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Sage Page are also active members of the PCI Security Standards Council (SSC) that defines card industry global regulation. The data we hold is extremely secure and we are regularly audited by the banks and banking authorities to ensure it remains so.An index to all sites is provided, with each monument named, giving the National Grid reference number. An index to all sites is provided, with each monument named, given an National Grid reference number, and the relevant 1:50 000 scale Landranger sheet number so that sites may be exactly pinpointed. Any way to sum up its great but I do wonder why Ordnance Survey don't publish as a plain modern map without the historic layers, it would in my opinion be very useful addition to their fantastic range of maps.

Symbols arranged according to the period (Palaeo/Mesolithic, Neolithic, Bronze, Iron, Roman, and Medieval to 1066) and use (civil, defence, domestic, industrial, religious/ritual, and funerary/burial) show locations of the sites. This ordinance survey map and guide shows the geographical distribution of some of the most important visible ancient monuments of Great Britain.Discover Britain's ancient past and famous historical events with this double-sided map that covers features from Palaeolithic and Mesolithic to the early Middle Ages. No cardholder information is ever passed un-encrypted and any messages sent to our servers from Sage Pay are signed using MD5 hashing to prevent tampering. What I have found is that I have spent a great deal of time studying this map and its fascinating historical information. Available in quantities of 5, 10 or 20 with the option of a kraft greeting card box for gift giving and storage. Overall, the Ordnance Survey's first edition 1 inch map series is special for its comprehensive survey of Great Britain, its high level of accuracy, its visually striking design, and its wide range of uses.
