About this deal

As diverse as the wines in our collection, Barefooters all have this in common: they celebrate the fun, cherish the quirky, and love locally. What makes our Barefoot hearts flutter?Expressing GraTOEtudeevery chance we get. At Barefoot, we think that wine is that bit more fun with a touch of fizz and sparkle - and our bubbly will set any evening off in style! The Brut Cuvée is what most people expect when they have champagne or sparkling wine. In fact, most sparkling wine that’s produced is in the Brut style. Technically, Brut refers to the amount of sugar added after secondary fermentation and is an indicator of sweetness. Brut is relatively dry.

Muscat grapes are grown throughout the world, but specific wines often use grapes from specific areas. Moscato d’Asti is named after Muscat grapes, with origins to the Italian town of Asti. The Muscat grape’s high sugar content gives a Moscato wine its sweetness. The Muscat grapes, Muscat of Alexandria, or Orange Muscat, are also used in red wines and fortified wines, like sherry.Big birthday, special anniversary, new job celebration, a family get together or an evening with friends - there’s always a good time to pop open a bottle of bubbly, isn’t there? (I will need to run this one by compliance) Sometimes, you don’t even need a reason at all! Uncork it carefully, listen to that glorious pop and fizz, pour into flutes, and raise a toast before taking that first, gorgeous sip. Fan-bubbly-tastic! At Barefoot, we believe no one should be judged by the colour of their favorite grape. In fact, we pride ourselves on making wines free from the tyranny of all wine snobbery. Everyone has the right to get Barefoot and have a great time – however they choose! We extend inclusivity to wine lovers everywhere, no matter who they are or whom they love. Whether it’s toasting same-sex marriage on top of a giant wedding cake, dancing our hearts out at PRIDE festivals, or partnering with over 100 different LGBTQ groups, we proudly celebrate diversity. At the end of day, it’s all abouthaving fun & staying quirky. Sparkling Moscato is made from Muscat Blanc grapes. This style is originally from the province of Asti, Italy, so naturally it’s called Moscato d’Asti. This sweet frizzante bubbly wine has high aromatics and light or low alcohol level.

There’s nothing quite like smelling the sweet aromas of Moscato for the first time. Moscato offers one of the most unique scents available in modern wines, which is colloquially known as “Muscat Aroma.” There are 3 major Moscato wine types: sparkling Moscato d’asti, still Moscato, and dessert Moscato. Which is the best depends on the pairings and when you’re drinking it. Our Barefoot Moscato treats the senses with some wonderful scents, from lush fruity aromas, hints of gloriously juicy peach, ripe apricots and citrus. We can’t deny it - Moscato Wine is a true crowd-pleaser!At the other end of the flavour scale, our crisp and refreshing white wines will hit the right spot. Want light, bright and citrus-infused? Step forward Pinot Grigio. Something slightly smoother? We’d recommend Chardonnay. For the perfect dessert companion, our sweet Moscato is brilliantly versatile. You may notice that Barefoot Bubbly is labeled as “Champagne,” and you may wonder, “Can they do that, I thought Champagne could only come from France?” Yes, it’s true that the term “Champagne” is legally reserved for wines from the Champagne region of France. But, many US-made sparkling wines were using the term before the decision was made to no longer use it on US-made wines. Those wines labeled as “Champagne” before 2006 were “grandfathered” in to allow them to continue using that descriptor as long as the region of production is also on the label (e.g. California). I tried and tried to pull something out of this, but the nose is virtually non-existent in this wine, except for a very, very slight peach aroma. The palate is also light. It’s mildly sweet, with soft peach and strawberry flavors. The finish is crisp, tangy and enjoyable, although rather short. If you like sweet, light sparklers, it’s an enjoyable wine, but as I said, the intensity is subtle. There’s nothing extraordinary about it, but it’s good.
