The twists in this book were just amazing – I didn’t know what was going to happen and to be honest I didn’t want to guess either. I was totally wrapped up in their story! Whilst I love standalone books usually because I want a conclusion fast but I also love a series and this is without doubt going to be an amazing series! I can’t wait to see where their story goes.

Born on the 6th of September, Shandi Boyes grew up in Australia with a love for reading. Throughout her life, she read books of all genres but found she was most passionate about romance.This second book was better. I found myself not leaving as many bad comments, and it wasn’t overly stupid! Obviously, there’s still stuff to talk about though. This one was a solid 2/5 stars. Isaac Holt is a very beautiful man, he is an enigma to many, he seems to have popped up from nowhere and has made money that the FBI can’t seem to figure out the history behind, leading them to investigate him and try to figure him out. Isaac is used to woman falling at his feet, he’s rich, powerful and hot, a combination that makes woman weak at the knees. When one falls into his lap twice it seems like fate. And Hugo?” I wait for him to once again return his phone to his ear before instructing, “Stay out of Isabelle’s apartment. You’re not there as a guest, and pretending you are could end disastrously.”

Isabelle is in the FBI and she is doing her job even though she is not always happy about what is going on. She is there to prove someone guilty but that is not always the case in her mind. When she believes someone is innocent she is going to spend her time proving their innocence. Isabelle is beautiful and it is not hard for her to find a date but she only wants one person and now she is not sure she has a future with them. Isabelle is going to have to prove her innocence as well and she is not sure how to do that because she has to prove it to her job and the love of her life. As the story unfolds, the storyline flows from one book into the next- taking us on a truly incredible journey with characters that will capture your heart and mind. I have spent quite a lot of time reflecting on how to do this boxed set real justice- how do I write a review that will convey just how amazing these books are and give you an idea of the story, without giving away any spoilers. I could go into more detail about what each book is about, but I think that gives away too much and you are better off not knowing too many details and just immersing yourself in the stories. I loved Isaac and he is the perfect guy for my stories, but Isabelle was annoying as crap!! She cries over EVERYTHING!! He hates it and I hated it just as much. I was like, "She is an FBI agent....get over your crap." Isabelle Brahn has only been a part of Alex’s team for six months. But she hasn't found a shred of information about Isaac's FBI file. Which is why she doesn't understand why Isaac was sitting in a jail cell. She didn't divulge any of her secrets, locations, or anything about Isaac whatsoever!! The ending of the first book has hurt Isaac’s and Isabelle’s relationship so badly that it may not be able to recover. Isaac has known that Isabelle has been hiding something from him for month, but now he knows what that something is. He is extremely angry with her, but the chemistry is still there. Isabelle is placed again in an uncomfortable position that is not really her fault. However, she is paying for it, both personally and professionally. The question is can Isaac and Isabelle overcome the damage to their relationship and the outside forces trying to tear them apart.

His life is hectic with business but he's extremely mysterious and abit broody at times but it just adds to the his sex appeal the dark handsome time yum. When he meets Isabelle he doesn't realise his world is going to be turned upside down. Can they survive secrets they have? Can Isabelle break through his walls and get to his heart??? Just when Isaac thinks he has everything under control another bombshell is dropped in his lap. Will he be able to let it go and trust Isabelle ever again? “The past month has been unlike anything I’ve ever experienced before. It has been a hazy blur of lust and confusion. They are prodigious and unexplainable.” Wow this novel is amazing you will definitely not be disappointed in Isaacs and Isabelle’s story it's hot and the chemistry between them is so hot it could set your kindle on fire.

The series has proved to be a hit and features a number of novellas, including ‘Enigma’, ‘Unraveling an Enigma’, ‘Enigma: The Mystery Unmasked’, and ‘Enigma: The Final Chapter’. This book might take the cake for the worst thing I’ve read in my life. Yes you read that right. So I read this book because of a TikTok with this quote OMG what a better story line this one has but with the same intensity as book one. I really felt like book one was just about Isaac and Isabelle’s uncontrollable sex life, but I can now see it was the building up for THIS BOOK! This story continues off right where book one, Enigma of Life left off. Isaac and Isabelle have been separated by the truth that Isabelle is an FBI agent and she may have withheld that information from Isaac. He finds out when she has to arrest him. The chemistry these two have is just as hot as ever but because Isaac gets arrested there is way less sex! Book one was over the top with it, which made my feelings for the characters just so so. This book there is a little more “unraveling” of the characters’ personalities and actual character, making me love them both! And then there is this enlightenment for me: I love that we still have chapters from both Isaac and Isabelle’s POV. We also get to find out more about Regan in this book too, the name floated about in previous books but we formally get introduced to the character in this book! I’m not quite sure I’m going to view cupcake frosting in the same light again thought after this book! You were warned I’d slit your throat if you touched her. Unlike mJesus Christ,” I grunt out when I glide past a hangar far enough to spot the reason flashing lights are brightening the sky. A private jet in the middle of the tarmac is surrounded by patrol cars, and Ryan is shouting into a PA speaker demanding for the passengers inside to disembark one at a time with their hands behind their heads. So onto the story. We love Isaac and Isabelle. Well mostly Izzy because Isaac and his need to dominate and be in charge of everything. There were so many things that bugged me about this and the list will be below, read at your own risk.

Enigma of Life: Isaac’s Story is a five star novel by Shandi Boyes. This book is book number six in the Perception series. This book can be read as a standalone since Isaac is normally such an insignificant character in the other books. You may not even remember him fully! But not anymore. Isabelle is flying to her new job. Boy, she hates to fly. She is so deathly afraid of flying that on the first leg of her journey, she didn't even let go of her death grip on the armrest the entire flight. Now, she has to do it all over again on the second leg. Thankfully, this is a much shorter flight for her. As she is going through the airport, she literally falls into the most handsome gentleman she has ever seen. He is very much dressed to impress and is a very confident man. As he tries to balance her and help her up with her things, they bump heads again. He can't help but be amused at all that is happening right now. He then invites her to the lounge to wait with him until her flight. She graciously accepts until she realizes how pitifully undressed she would be for a place like that. He tells her it won't matter, and she follows him inside. Once there, he reaches behind the bar like he owns the place. He gets some ice for her eye and gets some glasses for their drink. The bartender brings over the whiskey like he knows exactly what Isaac wants. After the drink, Isabelle realizes she is going to be late for her flight if she doesn't hurry. She thanks her gentleman and runs out the door. Little does she know, he has a plan to see her on the next flight. He helps her calm her nerves and entices her in every way imaginable. She knows she needs to stay away from him. He invites her as a one and done deal to a club that Saturday. After their encounter, she can't get him out of her head. She hopes one day she will see him again but also knows she cannot become involved with him. Ever.

If I could give this book more than five stars I really would. Shandi Boyes has captivated my attention endlessly for the past week as I have devoured every one of the Enigma books. Isabelle is Isaac's kryptonite… their passion is like no other. But with all the lies, what will the fate of their story be ? Will love be enough?? Oh my goodness! I feel that this series just gets better with this second story of the Enigma series. I just love Isabella more in this story. She tries her best to do what is right and look at the gray in life. She knowledges when she has done not handle everything the best way and tries to make it right. I love that about this character. I feel that I got to learn more about Isaac in this story, but I am hoping to learn even more in the next story. I did really like Hugo in this book. As far as I am concerned, Hugo is Isaac’s best asset in his empire. I love that he can talk candidly towards both Isaac and Isabelle. I still have my original half review saved on my notes and maybe one day I’ll post it. But I was in a completely different place then than I am now. And I think that is one reason why I could never have finished this review before now. Isabelle lost her family at a young age and was raised by her Uncle Tobias who was a great role model for her. Isabelle is on her way to her new job in a new town when she literally falls down to the feet of the most handsome man with grey eyes she has ever met. She enjoys her plane ride after meeting him because she is scared of flying this perfect (and I mean perfect in every way) stranger helped her through the scary part. Isabelle meets new people and works hard at her job put can’t quit thinking about those eyes and that man who she needs to stay far away from. He is an enigma and she finds herself drawn to him as much as she tries to keep her distance he just always appears and her body is a traitor to her and has a mind of its own when she is near him.
