About this deal

A couple of tracks here are unnecessary, but also some really good stuff—both Bad ‘n’ Ruin and Had Me a Real Good Time are great.

Wood joined the Rolling Stones as a full member, Lane formed Slim Chance and had a modest solo career that ended prematurely when he was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and he also worked on an album with Who guitarist Pete Townshend , Rough Mix . Nothing entirely essential, but the Faces are seeming more like a group that is just sorta acceptable to have nestled within your collection. to a Blind Horse — and its arrival in November 1971 signaled the band's true arrival as a transatlantic success story. A disillusioned Ronnie Lane left the band in 1973; [3] one reason given later for his departure was frustration over not having more opportunities to sing lead vocals.Sanne Graulund’s rendition of “Dancing On My Own,” featuring Jan Harbeck, serves as the first single from her upcoming album, “Context. To A Blind Horse which is ranked number 2788 in the list of all-time albums with a total rank score of 554. A heart-felt poor boy/rich woman (on the wrong side of the tracks) lyric from Stewart adds the lyrical to the musical poignancy. Tell Everyone" (a much better version covered later by its composer Lane on his first solo album "Anymore For Anymore" [1974]) is a slow blues dominated by a lovely mellow guitar solo from Wood, with McLagan again showing just how good he is on the Hammond B3 with another trademark finish. On 28 August 2015, Long Player was reissued in a remastered and expanded form, including two previously unreleased outtakes, "Whole Lotta Woman" and "Sham-Mozzal" (the latter actually being an early instrumental prototype of "Had Me a Real Good Time"). If your item is in any way faulty then please contact me immediately, send a photo of the issue and I will get a replacement organised.

Even for a group whose boozy looseness was part of their charm, Long Player wasn't anywhere near as cohesive as it should have been.

The band continued to tour throughout 1974 and 1975, releasing a live album, Coast to Coast: Overture and Beginners, in 1974 that was jointly credited to Rod Stewart/Faces. You can change your choices at any time by visiting Cookie preferences, as described in the Cookie notice.
