The movie, starring Sally Field as Betty, was good, and also worth viewing, but it really doesn't hold a candle to the first-hand experience of the author and her plight to escape her abusive marriage and flee Iran with her daughter.

If you can find a copy of any version of this book, I encourage all women to read it and be thankful for our rights as U.
