About this deal

For a theatre-like audio experience, bring home this Bluetooth speaker. Featuring a 2-inch full range driver and an 8-inch subwoofer driver, this soundbar fits your TV perfectly without messing up your entertainment unit. What’s more, this soundbar also plays music wireless through Bluetooth.

Sonos has been synonymous with multi-room music for many years now, and the Era 100 – the spiritual successor to the excellent Sonos One– pushes the bar even higher than before. At the default sound setting without bass boost or spatial audio engaged, I wasn't exactly wowed with sound quality (the bass is a bit underwhelming, the mids are recessed and there's a bit too much treble push). But as soon as you engage the bass boost and spatial audio, everything sounds more balanced and full. You can also tweak the sound profile further in the Soundcore companion app for iOS and Android. The ( still) Award-winning JBL Charge 5 is even more durable and hardwearing than the four Charges that came before it. Its predecessor carried an IPX7 rating, meaning it could handle being submerged in water to a depth of 1.5m, but the IP67-rated Charge 5 builds on that durability by also being fully dustproof.About the size of a burrito and weighing just 550g, JBL's Flip 6 is the one to go for if you're looking for a reliable, super-sounding speaker to take on your travels.

It also comes with a higher price tag than its predecessor because of the extra premium upgrades that have been made to it. As a result, the Era 100 no longer sits at the mid-tier wireless speaker level but instead has been moved to the more premium end of the spectrum. Want a speaker roughly the dimensions of a bottle of wine that'll charge your phone and sound great? Enter the Charge 5.No, the Echo Dot isn't a traditional Bluetooth speaker in the sense of what we traditionally deem to be a Bluetooth speaker here at What Hi-Fi?. It's not portable, for one thing, as it requires a plugged-in connection to the wall to work, and it relies on wi-fi to function as an AI-boosted virtual assistant. You can (and will), however, utilise Bluetooth to connect your iPhone to the Echo Dot, especially if you want to play music stored locally, qualifying it as a Bluetooth speaker on more than a mere technicality.
