Fluttershy appears as a pony in Equestria on the fan-designed WeLoveFine art print "Girls in Equestria". Sunset Shimmer studies her friends' pony hybrid transformations to better understand how magic works in the parallel world. The 2010 incarnation of My Little Pony toyline (which was originally launched in 1983, featuring colorful bodies and mane) and its associated television series My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic, while aimed at younger children, had gained an unexpected number of older fans in their 20s and 30s, known as " bronies". Artwork produced by these fans included re-imaginings of the Friendship Is Magic cast as human equivalents. In the half-hour special Mirror Magic, Fluttershy becomes trapped with her friends in limbo when Juniper Montage acquires a hand mirror enchanted with Equestrian magic.
