All in all, this was such great fun and I'm very much looking forward to reading more of David Walliams' books. I love books with animals anyway (I prefer the company of animals to people) and so it was nice to see some of the more unuusual, not oft-mentioned animals on display here (or at least I haven't read many books that actually mention such things as aye-ayes and pangolins and snapping turtles among others. I was there on World Book Day and at least 50% came as some character form The Midnight Gang (which is so clever because you get to go to school on your pyjamas), so I felt like I needed to read something from him to understand the YOUTH. I can't say I'm as keen as they were but then I'm not the target audience and just comparing it to other children's stories that I've read them.
