About this deal
The M classification means the programme might contain violence, sexual material, offensive language, adult themes, nudity, or other content that some children and parents find challenging. Our customers have found the Prime GO perfect for secondary setups at a wedding ceremony, summer fairs, street parties and most outdoor events. Not to mention, there are now over 25 new and enhanced dynamic FX options for Denon DJ hardware, such as Echo Out, Swell Verb, Hold Echo, Recycler, Stutter Out, Riser, Pitch Down, and more! All these effects can also be applied on a focused frequency range also.
Keep in mind that screens differ radically across subjects. I would recommend using E-Prime 'set display to desktop resolution' as there's little way of predicting what different people have at their disposal. That also means your experiment needs to scale images and use percentages rather than absolute values. For some, it seemed like an intriguing concept. For others, it felt like an expensive toy. In this COVID era, though, a battery-powered, standalone standalone DJ setup now seems like the perfect option for those looking for ways play an impromptu set in the relatively safer outdoors. Let’s GO take a look…
The Prime GO runs on Engine OS, a powerful operating system with continuous updates adding new and ingenious features. I am not one for audio specifications. I use my ears. And this thing sounds great. We have used it with portable speakers, and studio speakers (my favourite current monitors, the iRig iLoud MTM), and PA speakers. The audio quality from its audio interface is excellent – detailed and crisp. Much like the majority of Denon DJ gear, the GO feels solidly built. The casing is a mix of plastic and metal, the pots all contain metal stems, and nothing feels loose or flimsy. The unit also has a satisfying weight to it despite its small stature. In the top left-hand corner of the unit, we find the effects section. Complete with a browse knob, parameter control and wet/dry knob that can are assignable to either channel. Sadly, you can’t apply effects to either the mic channels or crossfader. The Pro Go will be a familiar layout to anyone who’s seen previous Mixstream models. Like the Mixstream Pro and Pro Plus, the Pro Go is a two-channel design with a 7-inch touchscreen, 6-inch jog wheels and basic mixer. There are a few superficial differences to the colour scheme, but the big difference in terms of hardware is the inclusion of a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, which obviously adds weight to the Pro Go (around one kilogram more than the Pro Plus) but gives you the benefit of four hours’ fully wireless performance (our testing suggested Numark might be a little conservative with this claim; battery life will depend on various factors like screen brightness, speaker volume and so on, but you should easily manage four hours plus in normal usage). When this device was launched, the general consensus was, “It looks great, I love it… but what would I use it for?” If you will be analyzing reaction time data, we recommend confirming with your participants that their machine meets E-Prime 3.0 Minimal Requirements.
