About this deal

Simply fill container with sunscreen of choice, screw the head back on, shake the contents towards the roller ball and apply to body. It has won the mums – who had no previous business experience – legions of fans among parents, and investment from Peter Jones and Deborah Meaden after they took it to Dragon's Den. The Solar Buddies applicator can be filled with a sun cream of choice, and the roller ball smoothly applies to the skin to avoid greasy hands. Scenarios we are all v familiar with as parents, which is EXACTLY what mums Kelli Aspland and Laura Waters cottoned on to, and designed a rather nifty solution to help. Definitely recommend for any parents wanting to put sun cream on their kids in a quick and fuss free way.

Weve used it 3 days in a row now on 2 adult and a toddler and I was worried it woudlnt apply evenly or enough to prevent purning but non of use burnt (applied as directed on your suncream bottle) No mess, quick and easy to use so it's a win for families with children! Many people also comment on how it keeps the hands from getting 'sticky', so potentially great if you have youngsters who hate applying cream because of sensory issues, or for situations, such as when playing sport, when you don't want greasy hands. They were designed by two mums who were looking for a better solution to applying sun cream to kids, particularly for schools who often have a “No Touch” policy when it comes to kids and sun cream.I packed up one of our Cabin Zero bags as a beach bag, such a great all-round versatile bag for families, and off we drove for the 10 minutes it takes us to reach our nearest beach.

To fill this bottle you unscrew the bottle of the applicator, pour in/squeeze in your sun cream and then screw back up again. These are going to be a regular feature in our Summer beach survival kit bag when we head to the beach this year, and I can see us having plenty of beach days as a result. They are reusable and small enough to pop in your bag for a day at the beach and are even suitable for hand luggage. Winter has wreaked havoc with my skin so I tried Japanese skincare Tatcha to see if it would make a difference - here’s what happened Tatcha is huge on TikTok, but will my hydration-starved skin like it? It then dispenses the lotions via a sponge and roller-ball tip, so kids can easily cover their skin without making any mess.

Solar Buddies is a sun safety teaching tool, although, we do advise that there is adult supervision to ensure even coverage. We recommend that each Solar Buddy is only used by one person, even amongst siblings, for hygiene reasons. That said, that has now changed thanks to Solar Buddies which has now made this tedious job a lot easier and the kids actually no longer argue over having their cream applied and can do it themselves too meaning I can send them in to school with their applicator and know that they will do a better job at applying it and are more likely to too. They launched the product after discussing the ‘no-touch policy’ in place at schools and created a product that allows teachers to apply sun cream to children in a safe and convenient way. It was just a bit of a moment where we thought, let's have a little Google and see if there's anything about and there wasn't.

Solar Buddies is a fun, innovative product that will help you and your kids make sure they are protected from harmful UV rays.

One of the things which made the mornings a struggle here was the weather, yes the children were in their summer uniforms so in theory there are fewer clothes to get out, ready and to wrestle onto the children but with the hotter weather there was also the need for water bottles, sun hats and lots of sun cream too. So, I got in touch with the company and asked if they ever work with bloggers and they kindly sent me out two of their Solar Buddies to try out. And if your child has hair, it's so much easier to put it around their neck, their ears because normally, they end up with it everywhere. This little bottle comes empty so that you can choose your favourite brand of suncream to add inside, as we all know some children react to certain creams or we just have a favourite brand, Harry, for instance, can only wear a few different brands due to his eczema.Once they were happy with their design, they patented the reusable roll-on product, and in 2015, Solar Buddies was officially launched. Use with sunscreen of choice - this is an empty applicator that allows you to fill with sunscreen of choice, this helps as it will suit all skin types, plus it is refillable, so just clean out and use again.
