Deep Red had both some of my spirit in it and so far, everyone's found it inoffensive or liked it very much on me. Unfortunately we are no longer able to send to France, Germany, Norway, Slovakia or Sweden due to customs regulations.

I have a particular sensation that everything is burning in a cool, refrigerating way, if that can make any sense. Someone else recommended it for the 20-30 age group and I don't necessarily disagree, but I'll be 40 this year and I have no qualms about wearing this one! it projects very well especially with your body heat and leaves a trail that drives men insane (actually happened and the guy was hot too). It is the eau de parfum that fragrance lovers across the world want to have as part of their collection.I own both Valentino V and Deep Red now after seeing people say that Deep Red is similar to V and V Absolu. I do get the sandalwood, a sandalwood I don't particularly care for, but to each her own taste about sandalwood. It doesn't seem to have the same strength, intrigue and lasting power any more, but 20 years on, neither do I. Then the ginger steps in, and adds a mild spicy undertone that remains and tempers the citrusy notes. heavy on the oriental smell, a tad sweet, unique but has a hint of a vintage vibe to it, completely not what I was expecting.

Orange and blackcurrant are intense in the beginning, later it settles down to spicy smokey ginger and sandalwood combination. I know this isn't the most modern fragrance but I randomly decided to test this and boy did I fall in love at first sniff! This would be perfect if there was cinnamon and the vanilla was amped up, someone said it reminds them of a cheap mens shower gel and I sorta agree with that and I think its the freshness that keeps it from being the deep, seductive, complex perfume it could have been.To make the scent last longer, you can spray it on pulse points around your body, such as the neck, decolletage, wrists, and ankles. I smell blood orange and sweet citrus notes in general, mixed with vanilla and a hint of sandalwood. It reminds me of a Christmas type smell like Christmas pot pourri or the smell of Christmas Eve when everyone has their mulled wine out ( I think that's the ginger and orange). I remember smelling this intoxicating potion when I was in my early 20’s and it made me feel like an absolute vixen when I wore it!

The image of golden leaves comes to mind with this fragrance, and I am sure I will appreciate it way more when the sun rays turn orange-golden again with a slight crisp wind in the air. It's a fresh warm spicy classic scent if you like sandalwood, imo from myself who doesn't like sandalwood, the sandalwood here is more beautiful and tolerable than the one from Gucci Guilty.The scent has light, fruity top notes of black currant, blood orange, pear and clementine, which rest of middle notes of ginger, tuberose and freesia. One of my GF's in the 2010s had an early 2000s-era bottle of it, and god damn, this stuff smelled enchanting when she wore it in wintertime.
