I've been solving the puzzles from it daily for the past few weeks, it is really helpful to improve your tactical vision. It has around 1500 tactical puzzles from actual Grand Master games, categorized by various themes, like annihilation of defense, discovered attack, pinning, clearance etc. The positions are well chosen, and have the feel of real game positions that you could actually meet, rather than rare and unrepresentative curiosities. I still think it's very good though - part of the issue may be that I play almost entirely blitz when I play, so there's just not enough time to do the deeper calculation that I do when I'm solving Reinfeld problems.

Ce livre est un grand classique à posséder; depuis que je cherche les positions sur mon échiquier mon niveau s'est amélioré sensiblement ! I have both Fred Reinfeld's 1,001 Winning Sacrifices and Combinations and 1,001 Brilliant Ways to Checkmate books. some (well ok many) of 1001 'tactics' come out of thin air and don't make much sense -maybe they will when i'm stronger? Again with the e-book idea (though it's also in print) you might check out "1001 Deadly Checkmates" by John Nunn.
