Rub'n Buff is a wax base metallic finish that is formulated from imported carnauba waxes, fine metallic powders and select pigments.

If you don’t have any handy, I love this inexpensive brush set and use it for makeup, but the stiffer large brushes will work for this project.If you’ve already done that, your item hasn’t arrived, or it’s not as described, you can report that to Etsy by opening a case.

It has a lot of pinkness to it and I wouldn’t use it at all if I were wanting something to appear gold. I definitely plan on using Grecian Gold on a wall hook I got at Target that has a faded champagne gold tone, picture frames, drawer pulls, planters, a brass lamp that’s starting to turn dark, a piano / library lamp that has a too-shiny bright yellow gold look to it, and who knows what else I’ll come up with! Since I wanted the look of antique brass, I first purchased Antique Brass Rub n Buff (makes sense, right? The smooth painted wood was by far the easiest to do and looked best when done, the raw wood absorbed it and required more product per coat, and on the plastic I thought it might not stick but once it dried it adhered well.
