The 20-pound red label line is not as thin as Seaguar Premier but this line come in a lower-pound test value all the way to a 4-pound test. Thinner lines are going to be less visible so using a lower pound test will typically get more leader shy fish to bite. This line has less stretch than monofilament but more stretch than braid. This line have a 4.5/5 for me and that's because the memory on this line isn't the greatest but it's strong as nails. Comments:never getting this again! Just strung up my new swimbait rod with 20lb test. After three casts I watch my hudd sail off into the middle of the lake never to be seen again. I was so disappointed. Comments: Been using red label for several years and I really like it. I flip exclusively 20 pound test and never have any issue. I throw 15 and 12 as well. For the price, you can't beat it. The Invizx is also a good choice, but it’s a bit more specialized. If you are fishing in open water, go with Invizx. This line is more abrasion-resistant, so it’s less likely to break on rough surfaces. Additionally, its higher breaking strength means that you can land bigger fish. Berkely Vanish comes as a fluorocarbon fishing line and as a leader line. The bulk spools of the fishing line actually work well as a leader material as well. The mainline material is not stiff and is soft like a monofilament line. This is the type of line I like to use for trout fishing in streams and snapper fishing on the ocean. This makes it a good choice for anglers who fish in areas with lots of structure, or for those who want to increase their chances of landing a big fish. Comments:The only good aspect of this line is the knot strength. Manageability, memory, knotting up, etc is all TERRIBLE.. even straight off the roll.. 0/10 would NEVER buy another seaguar product.. even with line conditioner this is the WORST flourocarbon I have ever used in my 15 years of fishing.

When I’m looking at the performance of a leader line I’m looking at how well the knots hold, how smoothly it glides through the guides, and how sensitive it is so I can actually feel what the fish are doing. I’m sure there are other lines out there that are stronger and whatnot, but for the money, it’s really hard to beat Red Label. I’ve only had a few times where my line has broke and it was because it got snagged on something large. Comments:On the advise of a fried I tried the 15 lb and 12 lb test. I found it hard and difficult to cast. Extremely stiff and felt heavy when casting. I can't speak for strength and durability, I didn't get that far. This is because all of Seaguar's mainline fluorocarbons double as fluorocarbon leaders that can be tied on braided or monofilament mainlines. Comments:I have been using the 12lb test on a Tatula for bass and striper in Central Cali all season and love it. Often when I get caught on a small log or rooted bush, I end up pulling the entire thing out of the water with literally no damage to the line itself. This is within reason of course. Most folks want to know if it is any good, is better or worse than red label and what are the issues with it. When it comes to fishing line, people are fanatics about the stuff they like and maybe even more so about the stuff they have a single bad experience with. So I definitely get vetting a new line.

Comments:Yes this is a great line, to start off with using Fluorocarbon line. I started off using this line in 2010. Didn't never have a problem with it at all. Get this line Seaguar Red Label is a fluorocarbon fishing line that is more abrasion resistant than other types of fishing lines. Seaguar Blue Label is a widely used fluorocarbon leader. Its line diameter is smaller than most other fluorocarbon lines. The Seaguar Premier does have thinner line diameters. For this reason that is typically the better line to use as it will be less visible to the fish. If abrasion resistance is important the blue label with a larger diameter is likely more abrasion-resistant.
