About this deal
mine leeks from the collar and the twist part of the lid, also when you drink from it the hole is so small it also leeks from there. Disappointingly, I found mine kept leaking out from around the side, resulting in tea trickling over my hand every time I used it. The cork band is light, antibacterial, biodegradable and has super thermal qualities, while the lid is splash-proof and really easy to clean. Myself and my partner have water bottles which keep our water cool in summer at work and they are excellent for travelling abroad with for this reason. Water stays hot for a long time – though I’m not sure about the 12 hours claim – and remains cold throughout the day; ideal if you’re on a long walk or a hike.
Every time I use this I am asked where I got it from it doesn't look like a typical travel mug so I'm sometimes asked what it is as well. This could be because overtightening may strip the screw top, but we think it has more to do with how the collar and cap interact. The Chilly’s Series 2 is that kind of bottle, with countless colorway combinations that put the fun in function. We noticed that the collar and loop are a slightly different shade compared to the bottle, though it’s not surprising as they’re different materials. It’s almost the perfect travel mug, except when when tipped upside down: liquid does seep out, so it can’t be thrown carelessly in a bag (which is really all I want in a reusable coffee cup). That’s why it’s shot to fame online and is now the bane of every parent’s lives, as kids beg to have one to fit in at school.
The Frank Green is made with a stainless steel lining, which I’ve found to provide the best insulation, and therefore keep drinks hot the longest. BPA stands for Bisphenol A, an industrial chemical compound used in the manufacturing of strong plastics.
They fobbed me off saying that it is the same and that they cant help what it looks like on my monitor. I love the whole ethos of this water bottle and the way every feature seems so carefully considered.
