About this deal

Seven years ago, Terry Archer and his family experienced a horrific ordeal which nearly cost them their lives. You want to find out what is going to happen at the end, but nothing happens too quickly or all at once which I really did enjoy.

I think I connected slightly more with Emily's strand, perhaps purely because that was where the mystery lay and both characters were incredibly engaging regardless. Louise Candlish is a an author I discovered earlier this year when I read The Sudden Departure of the Frasers and then followed this up with The Disappearance of Emily Marr. When Kate Tancred started Untold Fable it was with the idea that technology could empower filmmakers outside the usual geographic strongholds, helping broaden the industry's talent base. That’s what drives me in what we do, but outside of advertising what would you say influences your way of working, and generally gives you inspiration? Her appointment saw her reunite with Leo Burnett’s Chaka for the first time since 2016, when they worked together at Mother. They’ve built a real uniqueness in their style across all their projects, which is now becoming synonymous with them. With Emmie’s narration being told in her own words in the past and Tabbys the story is also one of a different kind of friendship than normally portrayed in women’s fiction, here Emmie is far more secretive about her past, only giving Tabby the barest of details about her life before France despite Tabby wanting to support her friend but Tabby has a secret too and it may just cause both their lives to unravel. Divided into three parts, the tale is narrated by two orphaned girls whose lives are inextricably linked.

And regarding publicity and social media’s part in that – well, these days, I can never understand how people that are in public eye ever think that something hidden in their past won’t be revealed. It was all about face-to-face meetings, which I still believe can strengthen a relationship like nothing else. So by the time I joined Leo’s, we were about a year and a half into the pandemic and I had been working remotely for more-or-less the whole time. It’s something I’ve noticed in recent years, but what was it like when you first started in this industry, and what changes do you see in recent times as others are starting out?

Instead of kicking Tabby out of her home, as she has every right to do, Emmie decides to let the younger woman explain herself. Emily’s appointment comes off the back of a storming year for Leo Burnett, where the agency brought in a raft of new clients including Vision Express, Premier Inn, TUI and Comic Relief, in addition to delivering some of the year’s most iconic creative work such as ‘Lights On’ for McDonald’s. Some want to make huge kick ass TV spots whilst others want to access the metaverse and I think that’s the nature of the beast. Tabby was annoyingly wet as she yearned after Paul who had all but told her to bugger off before her abandonment when travelling. Anyway I digress… I do like books that reflect the changes in our lives and technology is a big part of those changes, whereas in years gone past only those closest to someone vilified in the press were likely to add their voices to the tidal wave of condemnation, now people can comment from the other side of the word all day long.Reading the book I couldn't believe what I'm reading and I just myself who gave all those people right for this witch - hunt, to judge a person not knowing her version of the story. I think you’re a great example of a producer who is not only fully integrated, but who also has a clear point of view on the creative; very agile and always wants the finished product to be the best it possibly can be. I think that the days of picking the ‘usual suspects’ when it comes to finding the right directors to work with are passing. She was horrified to find Tabby there, but as soon as Tabby explained herself she welcomed her with open arms. The story is about Emily Marr a woman who was in every paper, on every internet site, a woman hounded for her actions!

On the Île de Ré she meets Emmie, a lonely woman who has been keeping herself to herself for reasons that Tabby unravels over the course of the plot. Unfortunately, I found it did take a long time to get through and the ending just wasn't right for me. It was also longlisted for the Theakston Old Peculier Crime Novel of the Year Award and the Specsavers National Book Awards. Marr's background across esteemed agencies such as MJZ and Mother, coupled with her expertise in a variety of formats - from TV to installations - makes for a perfect sounding board for relative newcomer Murray, who has already made waves by creating compelling content for key brands like McDonald’s and ŠKODA. LBB> Clients’ thirst for content seems to be unquenchable - and they need content that’s fast and responsive!I have been so fortunate to work with some of the best out there so it would be impossible to name just one! Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. To me, that's the most important thing over just picking the same selection of directors to pitch each time. In a small French town Tabby has become desperate, she has a broken heart and is pondering on some home truths and now she’s travelled from Paris to this unknown, quiet town with no money on a whim.
