Irina's married name Karasuma means "crow" (烏) ( karasu) and "while, time, space, interval" (間) ( ma). In the study room, Irina complains to Karasuma of having to teach instead of killing. Karasuma takes her outside and sees Korosensei coming up with individual tests for the class. When she sees and listens how much Korosensei has given purpose to the lives of his students, she begins having second thoughts about them. In the next class, Irina starts giving an example of her assassination experiences, talking about how language plays an important role in any assassination. She also apologizes for being a bitch earlier, which the class accepts. However they still call her Bitch-sensei, much to her chagrin. As I made my way through this one, I could not get over how kiddy it all was. No amount of guns, bodacious babes, or crazy bad guys could stop me from thinking that this one was designed for a way younger crowd than it was intended for. I never really laughed when I was supposed to, the bad guys were silly rather than scary, and the drama present didn’t move me like it should. The live action movies only kept some key moments from the manga due to their two-hour-length time restraints. Maehara's limelight chapters (23 and 24) that establishes him as the class casanova seem to have been removed from the anime entirely. One can only imagine it had something to do with the whole " poisoning your schoolmates" thing. The class see Irina and Yada become a formidable pair at the school festival; Yada utilizing her negotiation skills to advertise and convince customers to travel the mountain path to their makeshift restaurant, and Irina subtly seducing them to stay. Although taught how to seduce her target, Yada prefers not to use it as a means to get her desired outcomes. A tentacled creature of unknown origin destroys over seventy percent of the moon, and he announces that he will destroy the world in one year. Nonetheless, Ministry of Defense government worker Tadaomi Karasuma allows the creature to be the teacher of Kunugigaoka Junior High School's Class 3-E. The students are given weapons specially designed to hurt the creature and are offered a reward of ten billion yen to whoever can assassinate him before graduation. However, none of the students are able to assassinate him due to his Mach 20 speed. Class bully Ryōma Terasaka convinces Nagisa Shiota to wear a grenade filled with pellets. When the creature gets sleepy after assigning the students to write a poem, Terasaka detonates the grenade once Nagisa comes within close range of the creature, but the creature sheds his skin to protect himself and Nagisa from the blast. The creature threatens the other students to refrain from coming up with plans that will harm others. Kaede Kayano names the creature Koro-sensei, seeing him as an "unkillable teacher".

Despite the daunting task of saving the world, the class endures additional challenges within their educational system. Discrimination from both fellow students and teachers hinders their potential for success. Without hope, they feel incapable of rising to the challenge of defeating the monster. However, Koro-sensei, the creature, takes on the role of a teacher and mentor, guiding his pupils through the dangerous world of assassination while also educating them in academia. With his guidance, the students gain the courage to take on their greatest challenge yet, their own greatest teacher. Looking at these paragraphs here, there doesn’t seem to be anyone worth mentioning, but there are a few. Irina is investigated nicely enough, as is Yukiko, but the best character of the anime is Karma. Karma is a difficult kid to work with. He’s abrasive towards authority, he refuses to try hard, and has trouble making friends with others because of his constant bullying. Early on, Koro-sensei does manage to connect with Karma, to get him to understand the worth he has as a person. He calms down and opens up a bit to others, working with instead of against them, but still going about his own business. Later, when he loses grade-wise, he comes to learn that challenging yourself, not complacency, allows you to excel beyond what you were normally capable of. The culmination of his character development is seen near the end when, presented with a tough opponent, he not only chooses to fight him for the sake of his friends but also takes it seriously, more so than he ever had in the past. He began down and out, without people to guide him, but through Koro-sensei’s words of wisdom and friends who accepted him as one of their own, he slowly but surely turned out for the better.
